నాహం జానామి కేయూరే నాహం జానామి కుండలే నూపురేత్వభి జానామి నిత్యం పాదాభి వందనాత్ రామాయణం : కిష్కింధా కాండ సీతమ్మను వెదుకుతూ రామ లక్ష్మణులు ఋశ్యమూక పర్వతాన్ని చేరుకున్నారు . అచట వారికి సుగ్రీవునితో మైత్రి కుదిరింది .రావణుడు పుష్పకం మీద సీతమ్మను తీసుకొని వెడుతున్న సమయాన సీతమ్మ తన నగలను మూట గట్టి ఆ మూటను ఋశ్య మూక పర్వతం మీద వదిలింది .శ్రీ రామచంద్రుడు సీతమ్మ నగలను లక్ష్మణునికి చూపిన సందర్బ్ఝాన లక్ష్మణుడు "మాతృమూర్తి కుండలాలూ , కేయూరాలూ (భుజ కీర్తులు)ఎలా ఉంటాయో నాకు తెలియదు . కానీ పాదాలకుండే పవిత్రమైన పద నూపురాలను గుర్తించగలను .ప్రతిదినం పాదాభివందనం చేసే సమయాన అవి నా కనులకు విందు చేసేవి" అని ఎంతో వినయంతో , భావోద్రేకంతో చెప్పాడు . పాదాభివందనం చేయడం తప్ప మాతృమూర్తిని సరిగా చూడనైనా చూడలేదు లక్ష్మణుడు .
